You will need to scroll the mouse and select 'Save car' Something like that. Then hopping nobody fixes the car before you and steal it.

Big factories are the best place for any vehicle parts.

Any industrial building is pretty good.

I find car parts ALL the time in buildings near the piers. The big machine sheds, the small sheds, the large buildings with the cat-walk along the outside wall, and the multi-level industrial buildings are all GREAT places for car parts.

Run along the coast till you see some peirs. Get just close enough for zombies to spawn which also means loot is spawning. Wait for a good opportunity (like when the zeds disperse away from the buildings). Then just run up to them and start looting!

Not near the coast? Seek out the nearest town with industrial buildings. Execute the same procedure. Try to get a jerry can or two as well. You'll need it to refuel later.
