how do you join a new server?

Hello everyone,

I downloaded DayZ today, but I don't know how to join a server. When I try to join one, either it says that I run the wrong version, either it does absolutly nothing when I click on a server. On the left of every server, there is a red X. Is that mean that the server is offline, even if it says that there are 35 players playing? I run the newest version of the game (1.7.2.3). I want to continue to play on Steam so I can tchat with my friends, not on six updater.

I have had this problem myself I would use the six launcher it seems to fix it, there is an option to launch the game with steam.

Make sure you have the Arma 2 Beta patch installed. It's separate from the DayZ mod.

I installed it. It showed me an error ''wrong CD key'' that I ignore. The patch as been installed. Do I have to do something else now because I still can't choose a server?

Some servers havn't upgraded to the new version

Other than that if you installed the patch you should be fine
