Did I install something wrong?

I'm having major problems,

1. I ran Arma II and Arma OA as admin on Steam

2. Got Six Updater, downloaded all the DayZ files

3.Clicked quick match on Six Updater

4. I have done with like 5 times, and I've been waiting for 2 ours, it loads, and I join and stuff, but after it loads with the tanks and jeeps in the background in shows a black screen with "Loading" and the bar is full, and it's been like this for 2 hours.

I need help. D:

Did you download the Arma 2 Beta? You need that in conjunction with the new DayZ patch. They're two separate things.

AHA. I got somewhere with the patch.

After loading it said Creating Character

and I hear voice chat

now its stuck on loading, or does it just take a long time?

Some times it just loads right up and others it take a bit longer, but it shouldn't take too long to load.
