Vehicles degrade over time.

Recommended Posts

In such an apocalypse the vehicles would have been sitting around rusting for months/years. even new cars need maintenance so these should be the same.

the concept is simple , all car parts degrade over time.

The faster you drive , the quicker the rate at which the tires and engine degrade.

At average speed they would degrade fully in about the time it takes to use up 3 full fuel tanks. whereas full speed it would be 2.

This would add a little more depth and feature to the mod/.

in before "boo hoo i spent years getting tires/engine parts"

Eh, trust me. Everytime I've gotten a vehicle I found it very easy to have it broken as it is. Bumping into a rock will destroy your engine, getting shot at enough times will fuck up your car, and trying to drive over a small rock in the middle of the road will destroy a tire. Losing a car is very easy already.

not if you stick to roads , damaging your car is always going to be a risk offroad.
