Ideas for game play

I get aggravated trying to remove barbwire with my toolbox. So how about instead of having to find that sweet spot, the toolbox just contains wire cutters and you can just cut the wire in the center and pass through. Maybe include other tools in the toolbox to do other random things, such as needing a toolbox to deploy the tank obstacles or even needing a toolbox to fix a car... kinda hard to do that without tools.

Also, maybe drop cloth in the game. With this cloth you can use a hatchet and make wood splints, there by making a splint for a broken leg. Say it lasts 30 minutes and you move at 60% speed but you can walk. (Don't want to take the importance of morphine out of the game) but it would be nice to have something to get me moving again if possible vs crawling to as many places as i can to try and find morphine.

Last but not least, maybe the ability to make your own map of sorts. Maybe instead of having to find a map, that the map unlocks by LOS as you move around. Or possibly you can find a pen and paper and create your own map... doesn't seem like paper and a pen would be that hard to find in a zombie apocolypse.

I don't know much about programming, just some ideas I have had floating around in my head. More to come.

I think in a previous patch you did require a toolbox to fix up vehicles, but it was removed, no idea why. But +1 to anything that nerfs barbed wire. Honestly, people need to fuck off with that stuff. At least make it smaller so you're able to vault over it, but so it still remains its effectiveness of stopping zombies and players from completely passing through it.

This I also agree with, it's annoying having your leg broken by a stray zombie. Though the chance of it happening has been lowered, it's one of the worst things to be afflicted by. The possibility to fix yourself up in the wilderness is appealing.

I disagree with the map and the "fog of war" sense of exploration, I've found it never helps to back to places you've always been, I feel you should always be moving forward, exploring deeper inland or along the coast.

Good post, I appreciate the points you made. The fog of war idea you mentioned makes total sense. Making people push forward is a good way to put it. And I agree on the barbwire, sometimes i can manage to get over it, but it just needs to be easier to remove or easier to destroy it. I never carry the stuff personally.

Yeah there are the odd times I'm able to vault over it, but then there are times where it's been used to block an entrance to a loot area and it's totally unvaultable.

Like seriously, the only ways someone is getting out is either they put it down and they're camping out inside forever, eventually cut it down with a toolbox (Which are rather hard to find mind you), or they've put it there to be a huge twat and walk off.

I don't carry it either, takes up valuable space, and if anything, can land you in trouble, especially if you block yourself in a place.

Yup, when I work my butt of trying to sneak into somewhere, and then the place is blocked by barbwire... its just demotivating.

I have another suggestion, don't know if its possible. But I have picked up vest before in the game that have I think 8 slots. Why not make it to where you can wear a vest and a backpack. Maybe make the vest only able to carry ammo or something. Just an idea, and i know the UI kind of makes it nearly impossible as there would be no slot for it unless they could put it in the tool belt maybe?

with the barbed wire nerf, i agree on that, while i am carrying a kit aound, its mostly in case a player comes around, then i could run into a room with lots of spots to hide, and only one entrence, so i can block off the entrence and hide out of sight of the doorway, then warn the possable threat to my presence, and if i hear the taletale sound of a crank being turned, i can run in, and kill the player trying to get in before they can finish taking the fence down, but its too hard to take it down (that tatic did save my life agenst a group of 5 bandits, but thats because the bandit party got frustrated on looking for the sweet spot, before one of them tried to clear the room with a frag, witch bounced back adn killed them all, but then i endded up spending 15 min looking for it myself)

with the cloth and the wood splits, i can really use those, my primary weapon (no dobut) is a hatchet (yes, i'm a zombie-axe-murdurer) and with how they can break your legs, it gets annoying and deadly when your leg decides to cave in, and with how rare morphine is apperently, thos would make great substutes to morphine for the while

with maps, i can use those on some times, i could use them to backtrack to a town adn see if a respawn happened (especialy on empty servers, where i can backtrack to chrino without worries of a bandit roming around the city

as for the vest + backpack combo, the invertory dosnt allow for that at the moment, but i bet in a update on the invertory (of on standalone), they will allow such a task

am up for all of them, i'l tell you, full support
