DayZ Black Screen of Death?

I'm unable to play as my screen goes black upon joining any server. I'm only able to see the game for maybe half a second before it goes back to pitch black. Even when its daytime.

This fixed it for me:

I launched through the shortcut Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch , remind to add these parameters -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ

Before i used dayz_game.bat which caused a blackscreen for me in 1.7.2 and later versions
