What is the cause of my brief lag?

Well, whenever i run the game, it runs fine and i can run it on high graphics settings, but whenever i play i seem to get this 2 second screen freeze often no matter of what graphics setting i put it on. my computer:

4 GB RAM

2GB DDR Geforce gt 610

Intel Pentium Dual Core Processer 2.8Ghz

Is it my specs?

i had the same lag issue, ctrl alt delete when in game go to processes then to arm2oa and right click, go to priority and change it to high or above, it will give you a message saying it may unstabalize system but it wont, it may make u lag slightly if you alt + tab to a browser while the game is running but usually when you play a game you play it and dont alt tab all high priority does is make your computer give more 'attention' to day z

I had a weird fps drop issue caused by dust in my PC causing the motherboard to overheat. Using an air-duster to fixed it.
