What is going on with HFB and Host Altitude there support is beyond slow right now, my friends and i have ordered a server from HA and its been like 3 days with only about 2 replies from the staff about our problems, and HFB has never replied in about a week. Any feedback to my situation?

Hopefully they respond soon. I've seen more and more posts like this lately about them though.

Get a dedicated server. In some cases slightly more expensive, but less hassle and more control.

I can't speak about anyone other than HFB, but they are resellers.

They go through professional hosting companies (server stadium, wow rack, etc) and rent dedicated servers from them and then they resell it to us.

My advice is cut the middle man out and go through a professional hosting company where you have complete control over everything and get support answers within the hour, not days like some Day Z hosting companies.

Also, please don't apply what I said to ALL Day Z hosting companies. I am sure their are some that actually own/have physical access to their servers or if they do resell offer a much better customer service experience.

I'd just go with Vilayer. They're fairly quick, and the service is epic, and usually very fast!

Uh, VPS.. Right. no. Dedicated != VPS. Unless the are specifically saying its dedicated resources, like Hyper-V, Xen can sometimes be dedicated but unlikely for "Budget" providers.

To answer your other question. Waiting day 4/5 (sent it in Monday) and I'm still waiting.

A thousand times this. Drop the GUI and the $30 / month middleman fee.

I am yet to find a company that has good and stable servers, and a quick turn-around times.

I ordered one from HostAltitude and it took them good day or two to setup it properly, and then it lagged, so I had to cancel.

And getting a dedicated is a no go now, as I heard it takes 2 weeks to approve your servers request.

Fun times.

In the long run, it's your best shot, seriously. Support quality and speed hands down make it a must IMO.

Stability and control with a 1-2 week wait or instability and limited control with host-dependent support (slow) for instant, sub-par gratification? I'd take the dedi any day. The old addage "You get what you pay for" works here.

Well, we actually have to order a dedicated, wait 2 weeks while we wait for approval, and then get approved, or not.

So 2 weeks time wasted = money.

Not sure what to do yet.

Got whitelisted for a second server this morning and from registration to whitelisting only took four days. Dedicated is the way to go!

Purchased/rented a H.A. server on Friday July13th. Was told it would not be up till the 16th. Yesterday on the 16th at midday, I opened a ticket to see if/when I could expect to have it up. Was told today. I was like ok...well it never happened. I opened another ticket at 11:30pm basically saying that I guess I could not expect to see my server up today as promised....still no reply from H.A. Bad service.

If you need DayZ server fast, register at http://sisu.kompassi.com

We can provide new servers same day (normally in 30minutes from order).

=Olut= Servers are rock solid and fast tech support if needed at all ;)

We use limestone networks in Dallas - limestonenetworks.com. We have plenty of players join and praise their good connections from Canada and the UK at least.

Not sure of any dedi providers in the UK, sorry.
