Arma AO

Can this mod run with just arma ao? If so what else would i need to download to get it to work?

You need the vanilla version of ArmaII as well, not just OA.

You will also need to download the mod files from the mediafire link here:

http://www.mediafire.com/dayz

Make a file in your Operation Arrowhead Directory, which is located in like Program files (x86 - if you have 64-bit) -> Steam -> Steam Apps -> Common -> Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead.

Create a file called @dayz then inside that a file called Addons.

Then extract all the files there.

I only bought ArmaII to play this game so I've always launched it through Steam. Assuming you are doing the same what I did was install both games, followed the instructions above for the mod files. Once that is done, launch OA. Once the game menu pops up, click on the Mods tab. In the mods tab, check off and enable all the mods in there. Once you click "ok" the game will re-start. Once that's done, click on multiplayer and search for the "Day Z" servers.
