Hi,

I'm pretty new to playing Day Z so i don't wanna write some frustrated text about not being able to play while i am still very frustrated.

i bought combined operations and copied all needed files from my buddy. So i went to play and it worked till 1.7.2 came out.

Now everytime i try to play i either can't join because i'm getting told i dont have a "weapons.cfg" or that im missing content that i deleted, which i didnt.

Or i can join a server but cant create a character and suddenly stand on an empty map with only green grassland (this is what happens 90% of the time if i dont get the error message mentioned above).

I have the beta patch aswell bringing me to version 94700 and im really out of thoughts how i could possibly run this stuff and finally play.

Help would be much appreciated since it cost me 25€ and i really would like to play since this game seems pretty awesome once you can play it

Edit: I even downloaded the games via Steam again so that there couldnt be any mistake due to the fact that i first just copied the files from a friend.

1.7.2 is quite buggy at the moment, just be patient and wait for hotfixes to come out. In the meantime i would recommend you trying the basic Arma2 game, as it has its charm too (and you will at learn basics useful later in Dayz)

i meanwhile figured out the mentioned therm "grassland" are those debug plains. Somehow after i reinstalled and then respawnd. I spawnd as usual on the beach. So i guess my problem is solved. Feel free to close this thread.
