Joker716 4 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) Since 1.7.2 new aggro range on zombies. It's better to just haul ass through cities like cherno now? No way you're sneaking around cities like this, unless you plan on crawling the whole way. Edited July 13, 2012 by Joker716
ultimateburger 0 Posted July 13, 2012 Yes. Agreed. You can spend 45 minutes crawling around, or just hope you can lose/kill the horde you wind up with. Me and my group have been opting for the latter lately.
roccoc@gmail.com 11 Posted July 13, 2012 I promise you if you crawl through Cherno, you will still aggro zombies.
Survivor-Kyle 148 Posted July 13, 2012 I don't see how people are having problems with the new infected behaviors. I crouch-ran, walked, sprinted, and crawled through Berezino, Polana, and the Factory last night. if anything it was EASIER than before (barring an encounter with an invisible zombie--that sucked). resident_leeonheart@yahoo.com 32 Posted July 13, 2012 I promise you if you crawl through Cherno, you will still aggro zombies.Mostly the zombies will aggro on the outskirts of Cherno, once you're inside the city it gets much easier. Crawling along the coastline doesn't work well anymore. My new method in is to crawl my way from the abandoned construction building all they way into Cherno. Seems a lot quieter although it will take you a long time to reach the supermarket/church.

tarin4med@gmail.com 10 Posted July 13, 2012 Even before the update I ran through cherno. With the ease of losing zombies by going through buildings and around multiple corners I found it much easier and safer to just run everywhere in there. It also makes it a bit harder for snipers to get you if you are constantly running and weaving in and out of buildings.Sure I have still pulled aggro from ridiculous distances in some villages but until zombies can run inside of buildings it is still easy to lose aggro. HateMeh 1 Posted July 13, 2012 If you actually want to know a cheap way to go into Cherno, just run the hell in, enter a building you wanted and disconnect. If you suspect you were seen by a bandit, then fight or go to a different server, believe me its quite easy to kill those pests. Just one shot to their chest with the Remi and they might as well be dead either way. Also a tip, if you got a shotty or so, if you disconnect with a half used clip you can get the clip back. Works on the new version so meh.Hooray for ruining the game for yourself and others.
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) I've actually been finding it a bit easier in built up areas. If I do aggro a zed it seems much easier to lose them by running around a couple of corners. Approaching a small village surrounded by fields seems a lot trickier though.P.S - I wouldn't get used to playing it like "Matinek". It's only a matter of time before they deal with cheaters like him and then you'll be left with no skills and having to learn to play the game properly. D/cing to flee from zombies doesn't bother me in that having someone else do it doesn't ruin my fun. Combat d/cs do need attention, though.
