The Touch 0 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) --edit--Balls - I meant slower TURNING when laying prone--/edit--I don't know if this is a limitation of the engine but, in my short time playing the mod, one thing I've noticed that seems to detract from the whole authentic/realistic feel is the speed at which people can turn around when laying prone. You can snap round 180 degrees in an instant, checking all the angles or shooting a target far too rapidly. It's as if you're pivoting around an iron bar attached to your belly button. In reality, you can only really aim quickly in roughly a 90 degree arc in front of you before you have to slowly shuffle around to change your angles, so I think that the mod would benefit if something similar were introduced. That said, even if this is possible it's clearly not high priority. Just thought I'd make the suggestion to see what people think. Edited July 13, 2012 by The Touch
ultimateburger 0 Posted July 13, 2012 This is a concession every FPS with prone has made for the sake of playability.

starwarsfan@gmx.de 450 Posted July 13, 2012 In reality,Always with this argument... in real life i can shoot people behind me over my shoulder or by shooting through my legs. Do I want that in the game? Meh... not really. Also:In reality, you can only really aim quickly in roughly a 90 degree arc in front of you before you have to slowly shuffle around to change your angles, so I think that the mod would benefit if something similar were introduced. That's nonsene as well. If I want to shoot someone behind me while prone, I can just roll over onto my back and pop him in the head. No need to 'slowly shuffle around' to change your angle. And while we're at it, who in their right mind would crawl on the floor for miles and miles?Games will never be realistic, you just have to make some sacrafices for playability. Until we get true VR that is, of course. :P
