Found out this game, some questions

Hello Day Z community,

I came across this game throught youtube, I know its Arma 2 and day Z is a mod, but it looks awsome.

The reason why I like this game is the excitement, in a video 'who's near the lighthouse' 'stop shooting' all that its like real.

My question is is it free to play? I'm bad at searching information and I thought why not ask you guys. Is this game free and easy to install?

You have you buy the game but there are no subscription fees or anything like that. It's a one time payment for buying Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA.

Like Hukaltair said, you just need to buy Arma II and OA.

Steam has a sale on them at the moment so you can pick them up as a pack for $24US http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4639/

That pack on steam has everything you need to buy to get DayZ working, after that you just need to install the Arma II beta patch and the Dayz mod, both are free.

Just keep in mind that the DayZ mod is at the alpha stage of development. Expect bugs and glitches and a few "huh?" moments. Having said that its the most fun I've had playing a game in ages.

Arma2 Combined ops is on sale on steam for the summer sale extravaganza so its 20% off, not sure how much you ARE willing to spend but at the moment its as cheap as it can be without being pirated.
