Unfortunately at the moment the backend for the server only runs on windows, only tested on WS 2008 R2 as far as i know.

Any news on the brazilian server?

I'm from Brazil too and I wanna buy the game to play the mod.

But without a brazilian server, it'll be really dificult for me to play it, since my connection sucks.
