A few ideas.

Recommended Posts

Just a few quick ideas I thought of at work:

Food should be much more difficult to find in my opinion. Instead of 3-4 cans if stuff in any given spawn it should be one or none. Food isn't really a problem as the system is now. It's more of a minor nuisance. I propose that like animals require two tools to process the meat, cans should require a can opener or hunting knife to use.

Also to take some of the focus off of cities, fishing could be added. Requiring a fishing pole, possibly bait. Would add more rp ability, survival ability without using guns at all. Would still need matches and hatchet for processing. That's all I have thus far, let me know what you think.

Love fishing. I would put in the effort to get a boat up and running if I could fish off it.

About the food spawn reduction, not sure that's a good idea, what happens if you in a group and there's only one can?

People kill you for the can of beans you know.

If you're in a group and there is only one can you give it to the neediest member and continue scavaging. Much more "authentic" as Rocket likes to say. Also makes scavaging more important.

If there is only one can, kill the starving player.

I would be in favor of a longer "hunger" meter that doesn't fill with a single food can, this would allow you to plan your eating habits a little better and you could pack a little fat when you can afford it
