Bad serial number at setup

so i bought arma 2 and got day z for it, when i was able to pick a world to join, i pick one and it goes to the "wait a moment" screen then closes and brings up, "Bad serial number given at setup"and then im back at the world listing page.

Dont know what i did wrong, if anything. but any help on how to fix would be appreciated.

restart your computer and when you log back on right click on steam and say "run as administrator". Hope it helps!

OR Try turning off your UAC (user account controls) settings if running Vista/Win 7, restart
