Super Zombie spawns after a kill, why dont the dead rise?

One of the most discussed topics on the forums is how there is no consequence for murdering somebody. Once a player is killed the murderer has a hard to kill zombie spawn close to them unless its a head shot, as in the show "Death Valley" where fresh zombies are faster and stronger. Agro direct to the murderer and zombie despawn on killer death. I mean why aren't the dead rising anyway? The ammo it would take to kill one would make bandits or anyone for that matter think twice about killing another player and make for an interesting fire fight in group combat.

i see what your getting at, but what would the logic behind it be? why would there be a "boss" zombie once u kill a player? is it suppose to simulate the player rising? why would he rise from a gunshot if a gunshot puts a normal zombie down? how would he get infected from a bulleT? know what i mean?

Well, the fact that the aren't undead zombies is a pretty good reason as to why the dead don't rise.

Once you/a Zed dies, you stay that way

Because they're infected.. not zombies.

Also "super zombies"? No. Has previously been stated that such a thing will never happen.

They are not rising from thin air they are rising from the player who has died. Maybe SUPER was a bit strong but as I said they are fresh so the are stronger and faster. Re; Headshot kills will not spawn a Zombie/infected. Backstory update maybe everybody carries the infection, they just need to die for it to activate. Im a bandit im not complaining about getting murdered just trying to add something that could imo work well.

They aren't undead zombies!!! Once they die, they are dead.

Watch 28 days/weeks later and THAT is what they are. People so pissed off that they have forgotten their humanity and behave more like a gorilla that has had his jimmies rustled

They don't rise because they are not zombies, they are infected humans.

Rocket already told us he isn't going to make special infected or super infected, he's going to make "stages" of infection level.

It may state somewhere that they are not zombies, although im yet to see it. But let me quote from the top of the "what is Dayz" page on this very site.

Realistic "Zombies" with custom animations - These once human creatures will act and behave as if they have a heighten sense of hearing and smell but less sight, on top of that they use motion captured animations such as walking and eating from your unconscious body. If you look into any built up area you'll see them walking around waiting for their next victim which dares to venture in.

Anyways, irrelevant show compared to the DayZ Mod

I wouldn't mind having a zombie spawn sooner or later after killing a player, but really, I do think they thought of something like this when they (Rocket) started scratching up the ideas for this mod. It's just.. Lame.. People would focus more on surviving. Right now, it's just funny to snipe a player from far away, or go close up with a hatchet and chop him in the back - and is that what you want? Hatchet murderes to die 10 seconds after killing another player in the most awesome way in Chernarus, just because some noob has buttache over it being too easy to kill other players and get away with it?
