L85A2 AWS

So I found a helicopter crash sight, and when I looked at the ground I saw the option ''Take L85A2 AWS'', so I grabbed it, and nothing happened. Then when I hit ''F'' to switch firing modes it switched to L85A2 AWS. Even with stanag mags in my inventory there was no ammo for it, the ammo area was just blank.

I heard they got rid of the weapon, but if they got rid of it, wouldn't that mean it won't spawn anymore? And then again, if they didn't remove it, why would it ''not exist'' when I picked it up?

A quick search would reveal an abundance of people who recently found an AWS and had to come here to post about it without looking first. The gun is glitched. It'll be fixed when it's fixed.

what do you expect people are lazy and retarded. I am willing to guess like maybe 50% or more of the community doesn't even read the change log for any patch

It's bugged, plain and simple. They're hoping to fix it in 1.7.2.1 or a future hotfix. I forgot who said it, and I can't find it.

I've seen the same problem with jerry cans and fuel tanks. That is, I've picked them up without them actually being in my inventory until I began shifting my inventory around and dropping things then they'd suddenly appear so I could drop them. I was considering hauling them around until I find a vehicle but fuck it, only need one jerry can until I actually find something.
