Missing tent... Bug?

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I placed a tent on US183 since it met my criteria for a home server, however I soon discovered that the server was less populated than I had hoped, and even worse none of the regulars use the server's advertised mumble channel. After getting shot by some bandits while looting I decided this wasn't the server for me. Luckily after respawning on a new server I found another tent, I set it up on my new potential home server and hopped back to 183 to reclaim my stash from the old tent. I discovered my tent untouched and began taking back the contents when I got the "no connection" message. After losing connection and waiting a few minutes for the server to show up in the filter again I got back on, only I had none of the salvaged equipment and my tent was gone.

Is this some kind of bug? Was I the victim of a hacker or vengeful admin? I heard tents despawn after a few days if left unattended to, but I just set it up last night, I saved it this morning, I was only killed this afternoon, and I briefly accessed it's inventory 15 minutes ago.

It is a known bug, tents do not spawn correctly after a server restart sometimes. It could be fixed after another one.

Are you saying there's a chance of it reappearing after the next server restart?

BTW It wasn't a scheduled server restart, the login screen says it restarts at noon and midnight EST, this happened around 8:30pm.
