Where do I get the mini map?

I've seen the small square mini map in quite a few screenshots people have taken in game. It shows a moving scaled down version of the big map.

How do I get that?

You gotta find one. It's a GPS.

You can get the GPS (Hugely Rare spawn) And it gives you that moving map.

Or you can get the map and compass, compass is a bit of a semi rare spawn, and the maps even more of a rare spawn.

Ah, right..that is what the dps does. I thought it only showed your location on the big map.
