jerjer 0 Posted July 12, 2012 First sorry for my english im french.Second when i try to check the guide for newbie it said files not found.Third in game the keybiding is wierd, i move with wasd but it said zqse every key is like that.4e i cant see the map when i press m5e is it normal that i dont see my axe ? i can see it when attacking but not when im moving and standing stillI got much more question but 5 it enough for now Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
TomWilson 3 Posted July 12, 2012 Rebind all your keys - select the "Infantry" drop down, clear it all out and make it your own...You can't see the map because you have not picked one up and put it on your tool belt.You should see your axe if it's "in hand" off your tool belt.next question? sixbarns 217 Posted July 12, 2012 A lot of the links are now dead after the forum changeover. Which is pretty bad in my opinion. Nearly everything a person googles about Dayz will lead them to this forum but the link will be dead. Someone needs to throw up a redirect or something. Hopefully they will fix that.Yes the binding in Arma 2 was always kinda weird atleast for me. Just keep trying eventually it will work.. probably..You have to first find yourself a map then you can use it.You should see your axe if it's off your toolbelt and you can actually attack with it. Hetstaine 10852 Posted July 12, 2012 You should do the singleplayer tutorial missions so you can get familiar with how your gear works, how to move/run/crouch/prone etc, how to use the weapons/reload/aim/sight/zoom etc. Once you get comfortable with how the arma gui works (it is quite easy once you do the turorials) then you can change your keys to where you are comfortable. I have all of my keys based around the arrows so i am not searching the keyboard when in a tight spot..The four arrows are for moving , numpad 0 is crouch, right ctrl is stand up, end key is vault, numpad 1 is prone, right shift is 2x run, page up and page down are zeroing, enter is open doors, - near numpad is wide view.
