There have been some reported issues with 1.7.2 and the hive. A lot of these things are expected to be resolved with the upcoming hotfix. Tent locations, etc. are stored on the master database.

Now that being said, tents can disappear after awhile if they are not used, that is intended.

Best bet is to check after the next reboot and see if they come back on load. If they don't, it's possible that they fell into the abyss.

Talking about US-10-Chicago-Tents-Bugs:

Mate and me tried to place a tent on a place for close to 30 minutes but couldnt figure out a place it would work.

in the end we made it. left it and now i came back...

there are now 4 tents. 3 of them emtpy.

ours is filled with most of the stuff just 2 bloodbags missing.

i dont know if we were trolled or the server just planted the tents just now!?

i dont want to tell the place here in the forums but if you look up where i am right now you may be ablet to check it up?!

im standing close to the tents.

i cant pick the tents up, we will check if my mate can..

(with the bloodbags im not sure because i had some other strange things with items beeing replaced by others i had long before and such... so that mich be just a bug with the bloodbags missing)

Update:

even on a place a mile away were we planted a tent is now a tent again :D that must be a bug

When it comes to placing tents, that's dealt within the dayz code. Reappearing tents has been a known issue (I've seen and also heard reports of destroyed and packed tents coming back after restarts). The reason why you can't pack up these tents is that you guys don't "own" them. This is intended as far as I know.

Now with the issue of your two missing blood bags, it's possible it was never written to the hive. There have been some weird quirks with 1.7.2 and the contingency hive not writing all the time. This should be resolved in the coming update.

Unfortunately these bugs are out of my hands. The only option I have is to roll back to 1.7.1.5, but with the update coming soon (one would hope) it'd be inconvenient to force users back to using an older version only to have them update it again. :(
