You can press m to bring up the map, doesn't matter if you have a map or not, and you will see the numbers. Also you can press control + m(I think) to bring up a mini map while in game.

first 3 numbers correspond to the grid numbers at the top of the map, last 3 numbers correspond to the left side of the map.

somtimes ill do ctrl m to bring it up, and then press K to bring up my compass. this way I can get almost precisely where i want to go. quite handy.
