How to play with more than one DayZ character.

I have an alt account that i want to play with by my self (my main is to play with friends) I've see vids on how to change Registry Keys but every time i click on the key i want to play with (my alt account) it puts me on my main account just with a different name (my alt account name/profile). if you know how to do this please tell me, dont leave anything info out on how to do it.

there is a good reason why its one character per cd key.

and I think its should stay that way.

I have 2 Steam accounts with Arma 2 Combined Operations... i wanna know how to play on my alt account with a different character, because i play with friends on my main.
