Missing Audio

I updated to Arma 1.7.2, and then when I couldn't connect to server, I downgraded back to 1.7.1.5 by deleting the @DayZ folder contents and replacing them with the old 1.7.1.5 file. Since then, I haven't been able to get any audio out of the game. No sound whatsoever, except when I try to adjust audio settings in game where you hear that man talking and some random gunfire.

Also, I'm using Beta build 94700.

The volume is set correctly in game, and also set correctly in the system's volume mixer in Windows 7.

Any idea what I can do about this?

I had the same issue while updating to the most recent one. I fixed everything by deleting dayz and re-installing the mod using six

I would try it, but I don't want to install the newest update. I'd rather stick with 1.7.1.5 until 1.7.2 is more stable.

I had a barely audible sound issue. Tried re-installing ARMA2OA a couple times but every time I installed the latest beta, the issue would come back.

I eventually upgraded my audio drivers to the latest version and the problem went away.

Give that a try.
