Decrease the minimum lengh of keywords in forumsearch

Recommended Posts

Hello,

since the latest forum update, I habe a problem with the search-feature.

I can not look up for keywords with less than 4 characters.

This makes it impossible for many Admins to look up for any possible thread reffering to their server.

For example: DE9, US4, NL8, TX2 etc..

We cant search for these terms anymore and it would be great to know if we can find threads concerning our servers again to handle with possible admin abuse, cheat-reports, critic, etc again soon :)

greetings

EDIT: sorry for mispelling in the threadtitle.. ^^

Hey Vendaar,

This forum is hosted off the IPB software suite, and from experience I can tell you that it's not a configurable option in IPB because of the way the forum queries data from the MySQL database. A work-around for this is to go to google, and just search, for example:

DE9 AND site::http://www.dayzmod.com

"File not found" is due to the new forum page. Unfortunately any threads started prior to the update are not viewable by their old links, however they do still exist. I believe they will fix this however.
