Gutting Animals

When I gut an animal it will say "5 peices of meat avaliable to be looted" or something

Then when i go to the animal and try to loot, i dont get a loot option to loot the meat

help?

yeah it happan with me too when updatet to 1.7.2.

with 1.7.2.1 this is ok again.

2) when you get "5 peices of meat avaliable to be looted" if you press G - meat is not showing, you should look at animal one more time and you should get "gear" option - if its show up you will get meat

ive had to walk away from the animal corpse and walk back upto it (about 10meters) mousewheeling to get the gear option to come up thats 1.7.2, havent tried 1.7.2.1

Since 1.72, I have been having problems with game animals vanishing either before or after being killed and / or gutted.

Last night, I was stalking a cow in the moonlight with my revolver. I fired and he fell down, but his body disappeared before I could gut it; another one vaporized as I was switching weapons in preparation for the kill. A goat I killed also had its body disappear immediately after being gutted.

I have yet to see any other mention of these issues so far and while it's unrelated to the OP's topic, it seemed like an appropriate place to add this information instead of starting a whole other thread.
