baijiaqing@gmail.com 14 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Download the latest hive files from dayzhostersThen go and download the latest 1.7.2 files. Replace your old files. Edited July 12, 2012 by baijiaqing
{sas}stalker 108 Posted July 12, 2012 I would start herehttp://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/7876-server-hosting-quick-faq/You should also check with your data centre how much bandwidth you can use as a full Dayz server eats through the stuff like a hungry pig
Deadly_Erik 0 Posted July 12, 2012 Sweet, Thank you very much. Ya i will check it out.

jskibo 143 Posted July 12, 2012 Are you trying to set up a private Hive or plan on connecting to the DayZ hive?Need to be whitelisted first....
Deadly_Erik 0 Posted July 12, 2012 most likly private, if it's too hard to get white listed. But i need to run the 1.7.
{sas}stalker 108 Posted July 12, 2012 ok first thing first, is this server in a data centre of with a GSP or is it sat on your desk at home ?
Deadly_Erik 0 Posted July 12, 2012 at home. probably running a private server would be best for right now. an probably rent one later on in the future
jskibo 143 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) So the normal process is submit a ticket (its automated now) that includes your specs and IP so they can test the bandwidth, etc...They will look it over, test and approve, give you your instance # and access to files. You download, install and begin.Since Private Hives are frowned upon, not sure you're going to get much help here getting files....Edit: Just saw your post, they won't approve a home hosted server. You won't have the bandwidth and with 6-10TB a month, your provider will kill you. Edited July 12, 2012 by jskibo
Deadly_Erik 0 Posted July 12, 2012 Ah ok, thanks for the help. ya i saw the bandwidth requierments but was planning to host a 10-20 player. The way I understood this was a mod on ARMA2 but sounds like the mode makes ARMA2 into more like an MMO (Eve, wow,.... ) [hard to host at home].
