A few suggestions.

Recommended Posts

1. Bandit camps, wild dogs, etc:

Something to fill the "wilderness", outside of a city you can run for miles without ever finding a zombie. Bandit Camps could be randomly generated containing a few (3-7) NPC Bandits with weapons or wild dogs/wolves that give Chernarus some more depth.

2. Bases:

Ability to create bases or buildings, I understand that people can just server hop to get past boundaries. A way to counter this would be to allow "claim" land. For people who have played MineCraft before they might know of a mod that allows players to create factions and claim land to build on. This way you wouldn't have to create a giant rectangle of wired fence everywhere that sometimes glitches around your base.

3. Customize Vehicles:

Ability to mount weapons on vehicles, put battering rams on bumpers, barbed wire? It would make vehicles a lot more useful on servers (not that they aren't already).

These are just a few suggestions that I've come up with, feel free to contribute and post your opinions about them or anything that you would change to these suggestions.

I like all your ideas but I am not sure what the goal of the base would be.

But just so you know, there is an apparent hate of any idea regarding adding NPCs of any kind to the game by this forum. I actually think adding some NPCs would add more objective to the game rather than killing unarmed players at Elektro.

Its a fairly large no to adding any NPC factions other than zombies ATM I believe.

Bases will be implemented at some point, Rocket believes.

And customisable vehicles is a possibility, but how far will it go? i've seen a motorbike with a .50cal machine gun covered in sandbugs, making it a moving bunker.

If this were to happen it would basically ruin the entire point of DayZ.

I don't think you can distingiush between my example and a car with barbwire, so its either both or nothing, and I assume it would be nothing.

Hi,

nice suggestions.

1.Bandit camps, wild dogs, etc.

no extra NPC! AI makes almost every game stupid, because it is hard to create. but it is good enought for zombies or wild dogs. ;)

2. Bases

good idea. bandits or survivor can create something like a home. but not to big, lets call them camps. bandit camps! ;)

3. Customized vehicles

in this world you should be happy to find something to drive.

The point of bases would be able to create a larger storage area, and create a base of operations for groups of players who work together.

In my mind it wouldn't go that far, just certain things that you would be able to do but nothing crazy like that. Only customizations that could be implemented would have to be as realistic as possible.

Something else that I just remembered, would be the ability to drop a rope down from a helicopter and slide down it so that if you want to drop off some passengers you don't have to land or come close to the ground in order to let them out.
