Map supposed to show player?

I have a map, compass and watch. On my server it's showing on the map where I am. I don't see it showing anyone else, but it is definitely showing my current location. I do not have GPS. Is this supposed to be happening? If not is it a setting in the server somewhere?

If server has map turned on you will see yourself and anyone else you "see" on the map in blue, Zeds in yellow.

Shows your location, and it shows black crosses with writing sometimes, they are what other players have made but to my knowledge it won't show you other players

I don't think this is against the rules. It's personal preference. Its a matter of changing the difficulty setting or changing the Difficulty Customizations. A lot of servers out there have different difficulties and customizations.

I don't think they would make these settings easily changeable if it were against the rules.

It is completely normal and allowed to keep the setting the way it is now, however you may choose to disable it.

It will show you other players and vehicles within your visual range that have been spotted. It will also show last known for a bit after you "lose" contact.

Simple as setting it on, via 1 in the settings.
