mccullxch 10 Posted July 12, 2012 As the title says really, What's the differences in difficulty levels?I'm a new player and I was just curious as I don't want to join a veteran game and die within minutes. Thanks to anyone that explains this to me.
GhilleGhost 13 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Veteran servers mainly have 3rd Person disabled and other assists e.g seeing yourself on the map. Edited July 12, 2012 by GhilleGhost
GhilleGhost 13 Posted July 12, 2012 I don't think that it really effects the gameplay, I never notice the difference. It's just for immersion purposes.
Daddy'o (DayZ) 146 Posted July 12, 2012 regular expert and veteran designations are only for a sense, and nothing solid. Ultimately each server admin decides which aids to enable and disable.Normally a regular server would have:+ Player names and distance to target (tags)+ 3rd person view+ Crosshair+ Shift click map markersAn expert server would have:+ 3rd person+ Shift click map markersand Veteran none of the above. But as stated, each server admin decides which to enable and disable.
Benlandia 73 Posted July 12, 2012 Most Veteran servers will leave 3rd person enabled, as playing DayZ in 1st person is extremely difficult. The main difference is not being able to see your marker on the map, and not having a crosshair enabled. In any case, you should not be using third person to aim unless it's against the infected.
