Compass Icon Appeared!!!

Playing on DE4 with a good few others, a few of us on TS etc...

Suddenly right over the blood icon, a compass appeared, exact same colour as the normal dayz icons!!

The compass went after a minute or two, didn't even think to get a screencap!!

Anyone else seen or know of this?

Hacker, or a little insight into another hud icon?

Means you've spotted something at the O'clock thats at the top of the icon, such as at your 12 O'clock or 9'oclock. Its when the AI in singleplayer go "Man @ 12 O'clock 500 meters". I think its server wide though so everyone gets the icon.

Yeah, I think this is just a bug from the vanilla game. Alternatively, if you are in vehicles I think you can still 'spot' people using your mousewheel which will trigger this icon to appear.

this icon appears when members of your group spot somebody. since everyone on the server are in the same group, whenever a player sees somebody, all players get this icon. pay no attention to it

I think server admins can disable this from difficulty settings.

i think it usually happens when you are playing as the group leader in the game
