The ability to fasten chemlights to players backpacks.

Recommended Posts

I would like the ability to fasten a chemlight to buddies backpack for night ops. Why the back when you can hold them with your pistol out? 1) It makes it harder to see beyond it due to the glare. 2) It can be seen from the front which is presumably the direction of the enemy (if you're lucky).

I've seen some videos of guys using flares and flashlights like it's cool but that shit will get you murdered double-quick time on the servers I've played on.

We can already interact with buddies backpack to exchange items so I imagine this shouldn't be too difficult. The problem I foresee is that since we have a variety of packs of different sizes it would have to be fixed in different places on the character dependent on the pack. My solution to this problem is to lay it laterally across the back just above the top of the pack. This way it would appear to be sitting on the pack and be at a common location on the character model.

WHY? Because it gets dark as hell, nvg's are rare, flares are way to bright, and holding it front is unacceptable to me as mentioned. Those with Military experience will they are sometimes put on helmets under the helmet band when non-tactical (ranges etc), but putting in the baseball cap would look dumb so this is my compromise.

+1 to this. The ability to attach a chemlight to the back is already in ACE, and it really does wonders for night ops tactics.

Alright, my mistake. I did use search and I went through a couple threads but I don't want to go through 10 when 8 of them are about something unrelated.
