disorder 344 Posted July 11, 2012 Basically as it says in the title, any items you lose in the water you have a chance of the items respawning along the coast approx 100-200m from where you lost it
Azrail (DayZ) 211 Posted July 11, 2012 without bugs forcing you to swim with the sharks, its not likely anyone would loose stuff in the ocean.also, items as heavy as weapons would sink to the ground.
disorder 344 Posted July 11, 2012 Well I said water, so that means rivers too and replace coast with river banks. the idea can apply to any water you have to go in.Also the reason why people don't go in the ocean is because you lose your stuff, but it is a good way to lose zombies if you haven't got anything to lose. Stings2pee 106 Posted July 11, 2012 Rocket is trying to find ways to improve server performance by despawning dropped items... Not bog it down with 'washed up items' on shore. Terrible idea. Also agree with what Azrail said.
Tyrog 10 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) They would sink, I don't see why they would move from where they sank. Edited July 11, 2012 by Tyrog
Rogan (DayZ) 24 Posted July 11, 2012 Loot spawns on the shore would be good. But they should be stuff like crates of beans, firewood, flotsam and jetsam.
