Dual characters.

New character in 1.7.2 server, Old character in 1.7.1.5 server.

Your PC specs:

INtel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz

CPU speed: 3.1 GHz

8 GM memory

Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti

Video card memory: 3.92 gb

I have downloaded 1.7.2 patch already before playing last night...

Last night I started playing (On server Chicago 40, on.y 1.7.1.5), died a few times etc..etc.. And logged out in Gorka.

Today, I logged in a random server (1.7.2 server), I couldn't spawn. I was stuck in the menu loading zone. I freaked out and disconnected and joined another 1.7.2 server. It made me make a new character. I was sad, but was like whatever. Played a little while, and my friends were back on the Chicago 40 server. So I went back, and apparently my guy is still there!

This is all in ONE ACCOUNT.

Issue....problem? Need help from a mod. Thanks.

Hi,

I believe this bug has appeared post 1.7.2. I was unable to assist someone who had the exact same issue yesterday, but I advised him to create a new player ID from the main menu settings. I am unaware if this helped him.

It's from Desync. Essentially, both servers are saving your character, but one is saving server side and not on the Hive. With two different saves, when you join the one with the non Hive save, you'll be in a different place.

Like I said, this is a bug related to 1.7.2 and the servers.

Fortunately the mod is still being tested to iron out these issues.

Well I can't "delete" my original... But yes I have tried making a new one, and played with it (same dual characters), tried deleting it (back to original), and still dual characters.

Ah, sorry to hear.

Hopefully the new hotifx (1.7.2.1) fixes this issue. Check the announcement section of the forum, the new hotfix is there.
