Baseballkid9734 0 Posted July 11, 2012 I've been looking around the internet to find a relatively cheep gaming computer, but I realized it is most wise to build my own. My graphics card is an NVIDIA EVGA 02G-P4-2643-KR GeForce GT 640 2GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card and I need to know is this good enough to run pc games with little to no fps lag (I have invested in an i5 3.1 GHz processor) and will it be compatible with this motherboard (BIOSTAR H61MGC LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard), thanks for all the help, as it is considered and appreciated :)
idunc 62 Posted July 11, 2012 You're video card is good enough. To get a little preview, try out the Arma 2 free-to-play version. See if your computer can handle that. I'm sure it can.

Remix (DayZ) 14 Posted July 11, 2012 Hi,Unfortunately, I am unable to provide any information. However, the NVIDIA forum should be able to assist you (especially because this is related to not just DayZ, but all games).Cheers.

wok 25 Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) i am playing DayZ on my old pc and the secondary monitor, the vga is a gt8600 and the monitor res 1440x900, the game runs very good. I haven't changed any video options yet so not sure what specs is it using, but it looks and run very well. I was thinking about moving the radeon 6950 I have on my main pc to the older pc, but I didn't had to yet. I also tested arma in my main monitor with the same gt8600 and 1900x1080 resolution, there the game didn't run well, there was lag every few seconds, I guess that wont happen with the ATI card, but haven't tested yet.
