miragexl 33 Posted July 11, 2012 I know hosters have lives outside of dayzbut the servers i play on most won't update for a while, however when they do finally update (1-2 days later) my camp has been raided.Anyone else get this?
Guest Posted July 11, 2012 It varies server to server :P. I mean, MY servers are never outdated for more than a few hours... *whistles*
mrsherenai 64 Posted July 11, 2012 Its the host decision, as for 1.7.2 for example there are many many issues that made not updating my server untill a stable hotfix is released.
djseanit 16 Posted July 11, 2012 Its the host decision, as for 1.7.2 for example there are many many issues that made not updating my server untill a stable hotfix is released. This is the reason why we sometimes delay... Have to remember while it might appear all ok from the client end, on the server side it may be a completely different story as it was with 1.7.2 and a bunch of hosts having their servers crash.CheersDJ
miragexl 33 Posted July 11, 2012 Yeah just find it a coincidence that after every update I loose all my vehicles and stuff stored in tents. And then have to go round looking for them.
ynefel 38 Posted July 11, 2012 DayZ updates frequently cause gear/tent/vehicle loss. Alpha updates fix things, and also break things. Par for the course, I suggest not getting too attached to anything you own because you could lose it at any time, for various reasons.

patrik_poulsen@hotmail.com 9 Posted July 12, 2012 i thik it a big problem i play on eu erver and at the time it onley half of em ther ear up to date : (
digital0 22 Posted July 12, 2012 Don't forget sometimes it's not our choice. My hoster gives me the option to update. Meaning there's a delay in getting the files and then its me updating it, which takes time for me to notice it that there's an update. But give it a bit of time. Sooner or later we're back on track with the amount of up to date servers.
Macenzie 79 Posted July 12, 2012 We updated within a few miniutes of the 1.7.2 update and paid the price XDThe server wasn't playable until the next day.
filip_vdm@hotmail.com 13 Posted July 12, 2012 The server I rent is hosted by Vilayer. Normally updates are done automatically but since 1.7.2 is way too unstable and has many bugs they put the 1.7.2 / 94444 in the update section for me to update manually with the note 'At your own risk due too bugs'I very much appreciate this since I got a ghillie suit and my team mates aswell and I'm not ready too loose it to some unstable update not to mention the server can be unplayable.Players don't know this apperently cos they don't read the forums as much as an admin I guess but I'm well informed and will probably skip 1.7.2 and update the server to 1.7.2.1 if thatone is stable ofcourse. jskibo 143 Posted July 12, 2012 We updated US566 early and everyone had issues. I rolled back that evening and remaind there until the next morning. Once the server side fix was out, I tested again on 566, then rolled 193 one things looked OK.Sometimes the delays are intentional to wait for bugs to crop up or see if the Hive explodesSometimes they are inadvertent as the admins are busy or at their day job
