HOW TO INSTALL FULL EASY GUIDE RETAIL *Green man gaming* & STEAM!

FULL EASY INSTALL GUIDE - for those that already had arma2 from *Green man gaming*, but want to get arrowhead on steam then DayZ

1) RETAIL ARMA 2 (GREEN MAN GAMING PURCHASE)

2) ARMA 2 : OP ARROWHEAD ( STEAM PURCHASE )

1) Download Arma 2 from green man gaming, Install then install the latest Patch 1.11

2) Purchase Arma 2 : Operation Arrowhead either via steam or from

3) Download the latest six updater and run it

3B) Let it verify and install what it needs to, if you try to run the game itself it will complain with an error as will steam Cannot open file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\CapsuleGames\ARMA II - PC\\dta\bin.pbo'

4) Close six updater and use Regedit.exe to edit the registry, do this

In these there is a string called MAIN, edit each value so that it no longer has the \ at the end. For example

C:\Program Files (x86)\CapsuleGames\ARMA II - PC\

becomes

C:\Program Files (x86)\CapsuleGames\ARMA II - PC

Windows 32-bit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 OA

Windows 64-bit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2 OA

5) Download the OP latest Beta file http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php ( the green bar at the top will tell you the latest to use ). Run the file, it may complain about wrong cdkey ignore it, just let it install by pressing ok or continue. When it's done the install boxes will fill up and you can finish it. If you don't do this correctly will get a wrong signature file on server load up!!!

6) Rerun the six updater, verify if you need to then run the game it should now work! as will the steam version

7) you can also now use combined ops in steam option as before it was bugged patched error(green man gaming + steam) issue

Hope this helps, if not carry on do it your way instead :), I used the wiki guide but it didn't work right with the greenman sale and got a little confused :(
