Controls not saving

So I changed some controls when I first started playing DayZ and I want to change a few. I change them in-game and the next time I play the controls have reverted.

Why is this happening?

No I haven't changed anything. The only thing I can think of is that I might need to run in administrator mode or it's something to do with running the BETA patch.

Maybe your profile is write protected out of some reason? I saw several ARMA 2 guides that suggest this, maybe you followed one of them and forgot about it ?

Possibly. I do have a lot of extra lines added to my executable from when I followed a tweak guide. Maybe one of these is write protecting something. I'll double check.

Turns out my profile in My Documents was set to 'read only' for some reason....
