Insanely High Ping (Only With DayZ)

So i got DayZ, and started playing with my brother. We played for about an hour with no problems. There were no lag issues nor anything out of the ordinary. Suddenly i get disconnected for one reason or another. I try to get back on and i'm disconnected again. We try a server closer to my location and i'm disconnected once more. Then we look at my ping, and it's floating between 1000-5500.

I ran a speed test online and the results turned out the same as usual. I installed the new update, but i'm still getting ping over 1000. It's as if ever since that original disconnect things go wrong. I would just assume it's my connection, since i know it isn't the best, but i run a livestream of the games i play online on xbox, and i don't experience lag issues. However, something with this game specifically causes my ping to skyrocket. Any suggestions?
