From experience how many shots does it take with the AKM to kill a player?

I really havent used the AKM much in PvP situations. I dropped a guy in 1 shot from the AKM then 2 more to kill him, but the next guy takes half a clip from 1 foot away to get down and the other half to kill him? Is this normal for the AKM?

Usually just depends on lag or desync if you unload a full clip into a guy and it takes him a while to go down.

I've killed players with 3 shots to the body before. I don't know if it takes less than that, 3 is the fewest I've ever put into anybody.

It's normal for all weapons, desync being what it is.

The AKM will probably take somebody out in one shot from up to around 150m, random gut number. Beyond that you will probably have to go up and shoot the unconscious body a second time.
