BaitedHook 24 Posted July 10, 2012 The reason it works in mmo like Wow is because when there is a pvp encounter it needs to be close. you cant throw fireballs across the map as a mage for example. when pvp occurs it is within at max 35 yards.in this game you have guys who tries to do max distance shots (1000m in dayz because it is capped) 1000m covered in 30 seconds is impossible.i honestly dont know how rocket can deal with server hopping and combat logging. Surg3on 4 Posted July 10, 2012 Why do you need to cover 1000m in 30 seconds? Are you trying to melee him to death? It would stop many of the lower range battle logouts. Which is (anecdotally) most of them.

Nasty Wet Smear 4 Posted July 10, 2012 it will give people incentive to hide and snipeincentives determines how people play I think it would be very naive of anyone here to think that the current trend isn't "hide and snipe". The time has more benifits then draw backs, in my opinion. The tendancy of players to want to kill other players is a secondary issue that also needs attention, but isn't directly related... Again, in my opinion.
