Ive spent the last few days trying to find any kind of vehicle because im pretty bored of just surviving.

I have checked about 75% of the spawns on the whole map and have only found a bicycle, then I would go to places with multiple vehicle spawns and server hop in hopes to find a server that had one then just stay on that server from then on but still never any spawns.

Am I doing something wrong? I understand that people will try to horde them but ive spent over 8 hours now looking for any kind of vehicle and there is nothing.

If you are on the server that has a long time between restarts and is mildly popular, some of the vehicles get destroyed. That and keep the bike, it's by far the best vehicle in the game, quiet but fast.

Public servers vehicles are very rare, quite a lot of the functioning ones are stashed up north, the rest are generally blew up.

Private hives your chances of finding a vehicle are increased dramatically but so are the chances of running into some highly geared bandits/survivors.

I'll agree, best thing to use if you are a sniper, or want to sneak up on someone.

Ahhhhh, see that's your problem right there :D

You can only check spawns directly after a restart, if you don't find one within an hour of the restart, your best bet is to wander around up north anywhere you think would be a good idea to stash a vehicle. The bonus of doing this, is, if you do find a vehicle, chances are you'll find it near a camp and you'll be pretty set after a raid through their hideout... the one draw back being, there's a good chance if its a high pop server, you may run into the survivors who set those bases up, so tread carefully, hope this helps.

Adding on to this, another reason why you would want to do this instead of check the spawns is even if you do find a vehicle near a spawn, you will have to repair it, but if you find one a player has hidden, most likely it will be fully repaired and have some gas, saving you some trouble. The best spots to look are in the woods up north.

It really just depends on the server and sheer luck. The knowledge of the exact spawns helps as well, dayzdb isn't fully accurate or up to date. For instance, in Zelenogorsk, I know for a fact that the white pickup spawns at 017 102, just east of the barns under the overhang, and at Starry, the GAZ spawns next to the military tents, not north of them. Just do your normal thing and keep your eyes open, you'll find one.
