DayZ 1.7.2 Stuck on Loading Screen..

Guys if you use the six launcher and filter for "1.7.2.1" you will see a list of servers running the hotfix test - to allieviate these 'loading' problems - it was a server side problem with client - server protocol I believe. Like you all I could not get past the loading screen - until I downloaded and installed the hotfix into my DayZ files. I now connect to 1.7.2.1 servers only. despite having a much higher ping to thse servers I am having much better gaming experience (even over 1.7.1.5) See the thread in the announcements section of the thread.

Also on the plus side the more people that log on to the hotfix servers the more chance there is that this test hotfix will go public. SE 3 is the actual dev's test server for this hotfix but like I say there are a dozen at least running it.

Try the test Hotfix server from the announcements section. I can get into that one. Still has about a 4-5 minute loading screen, but lets me in. Before that i could not access anything

Same here. I got the exact same specs as you and I am launching with Six Updater. Was working fine 2 hours ago. Tried 10 different servers. Same problem. I hope they fix this.

still cant connect, even with 1.7.2.1. thinking about rolling back to 1.7.1.5 but this cant be the real solution...

Same problem. I'm using ARMA X retail boxed set.

I get passed the lobby screen and passed the loading screen with the tanks, then sometimes it will say "creating character" but usually it will just stick on "Loading". Longest I have left it on "Loading" is 1 hour so it's broken for sure. I sometimes get to see some text come up in the bottom left in global chat, stuff like "Regroup" or sometimes a bit of text in Direct Chat. This happens on any server I try.

I'm using Six Launcher.

So far I've tried:

Joining servers from inside ARMA 2's own browser

Beta patches 94444 and 94700

Reinstalling Battleye

Copying the ARMAOA.EXE from the beta folder into the ARMA 2 folder.

Raging on the forums

Shouting at my Monitor

Playing Battlefield 3.

Spending time with the kids.

System Specs:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit

Mobo: ASUS STRIKER II FORMULA 775 780I

If you are desperate just to play while it gets fixed just downgrade to 1.7.1.5 and patch 93825 and you can play on servers that haven't updated yet!

hmm i tried the new 1.7.2 update, got the "stuck in loading screen" error like everyone else. i downgraded to 1.7.1.5 with beta 93965.

i logged into a matching server, and the game started! but i get the constant message that i gave the wrong dayz_code and that i should dl the newest... wtf? i was definitely on the right server and i could still play on it, but my gun wouldnt show. looks like i'll have to wait for the next update.

btw i have arma X

ok, i tried it again, without changing ANYTHING. works fine with 1.7.1.5

Same problem here. I get past the character creation screen, but DayZ gets completely stuck on the "Loading" screen. Latest patches here, steam version of ARMA2 with OA. Everything worked fine yesterday, before the new patch. :(

UPDATE: It's FIXED!!! What I did was deleted the C:\Users\Username\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\CharName\Saved\mpmissions folder, and I'm in!!!

Oh shit this works? Gonna try it out when i have problems next time.

Just download the 1.7.1.5 dayz files from here http://www.mediafire...ofutyf256gel15. Delete all files in /@dayz/Addons and replace them with the files you just downloaded. Then download the 93825 patch from here http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php and run it! Then you should be good to go! Also if you want to save yourself downloading the updated files later on just put them in a folder untill you need them!

Same problem here, but when I try a regular Arma 2 server I'm a bird...... I saw some other forum where this happened to somebody who had the 1.7.2 patch of DayZ. I have the Steam version of Combined Operations, just so you know and I too am stuck on loading screen.

Yup I'm using this now, sucks tho because I can't play with any of my friends but it will do for now.

The above suggestion works for me flawlessly so anyone else with a similar situation to me I recommend you try this.

as i recall correctly from the old forums, someone said that arma x doesnt work with sixupdater. 1.7.1.5. with patch 93965 works with my armaX version, but i'm going to try deleting the C:\Users\Username\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\CharName\Saved\mpmissions folder

with downgradeing to 1.7.1.5 and beta 93965 it works .. but i got ingame message that i use a old version and the debug monitor disappear ...

after upgradeing to 1.7.2 i still got the stuck problem .. (useing beta 93965) ..

i have no idea what to do now? .. i dont want to play with an error message the whole game :D ...

day 16 spawned in this time lost my backpack still no problem with that i can always find another zeds seem fine abit of desinc traveled pretty far it seems ok my end arma x steam sixupdater somthing that may help i dont sign in to steam when using sixupdater i dont no if that makes any difference but i have had no major issues but i did sign in when battleeye wouldnt update and it seemed to work maybe just by luck :)
