bloodjackal77 15 Posted July 9, 2012 Yesteray as well as today I saved 4 survivors or at least aided them. I had no idea who they were, 2 of them had flashlights and 2 had guns. The first guy ran into the supermarket as I was looting it. I quickly turned and aimed my pistol at his head. Over voice chat he quickly said in emergency that he was friendly. "Its just a flashlight, Its to scare people, please don't shoot!" And so I lowered my weapon but keeping an eye on him. He looted the seconds and said hed be on his way. He left, he avoided death, and I avoided using ammunition. The second guy was cornered in the lobby of a hotel in electro. He had a hatchet and was fending off zombies. I approached ready to fire if things went sour. He stated over mic that he was friendly. I answered back saying not to worry I was too. Since he was trapped I quickly located a hatchet and lured the zombies to the dock. After killing the zombies we paired up and looted the rest of electro. I met up with an old friend in electro while still paired up with this survivor I aided. At that point our group had 3 survivors. Right as the 3 of us met up, another survivor ran out of a building then freaked out and ran zig zags when he saw us 5 feet away. We quickly let him know we were friendly while still holding sights on him but using mic chat to calm him. At that point we killed the zombies in his pursuit and he paired up with us. There a group of 4 survivors. Now today while again in a supermarket looting what I could. A survivor ran in equipped with an ak. He urgently stated he was friendly as I held my g17 sighted on him. I helped him kill the zombies in his pursuit, he left the loot and ran off saying a simple thank you. The reason I write this is because I wanted to let you all know not everyone has turned into bandits. It may seem like it. I've been killed countless times when I didnt even have a chance to speak. They shoot then ask questions later... But still be cautious. Use voite chat to ask question, usually get them to lower their gun or drop it. There's no point in killing a survivor if all he has is a flashlight, painkillers and a bandage. Those items you easily find. ALSO! Share you friendly stories here! A helpful community that also has its sour apples is a well founded community! Goodluck to all you survivors out there!
Denuth 21 Posted July 9, 2012 Last night me and my group of regulars on my server got in touch with 2 other regulars of us200. Callum and Scars of Exp. We have seem them a lot and finally made contact via this forum and then to our Ventrillo. We traded them a GAZ ,ghille, as50, and some medical supplies for thier UAZ. We hung out and shared stories and even looted a few locations together. It's just nice to see everyone cooperating for once!
bloodjackal77 15 Posted July 9, 2012 Its good to hear others are starting to do good again. There was a period of chaos and darkness. But some are gathering together! No matter how many times you die, you can survive pretty well without becoming a bandit. Being a bandit is actually putting you in danger sine youll want to engage in firefights. Bandits are bad people! :P
Freckelz 9 Posted July 9, 2012 My team tries to do good on occasion, but as an experiment (one we tried several times in several locations) we threw "military" tags on and went to the coast with our vehicles and extra supplies. (meds, cans of food, drinks, hunting knife, matches... you get the jist) We then proceeded to set up tents and put those extra supplies into them. Once we'd set up defenses (knowing bandits would come as well as newbs) we posted a message that the military had come and were handing out supplies, if you were friendly, low your weapons and you'd be allowed in to loot to your fill and leave when you please. It was meant to be a safe zone for coastal players to get a bit of experience. We even had one of our teams mates explaining how things worked in direct chat off in a corner of the camp. With in 5 minutes we were swarmed with survivors. Much faster then we expected. After another 5 minutes, the bandits came and began firing. Chaos began... People we helped turned on us by taking our second primaries out of our bags and firing on us. Thankfully we'd only taken expendable gear to the coast. lol. We'll try again and again to see what happens each time. It's a fun experiment that never fails to amuse.
