Game crashes when i get ingame

Hi guys,

I installed DayZ yesterday, got it to work with the SixLauncher, everything was fine. Today i played about 30-40 minutes without trouble.

Then I came near Elektro, my game crashed and I only could end it with the task manager, no error message, nothing.

So I restarted the launcher, joined another server -> joining screen -> loading screen, everything is normal, as soon as I see grafics: BAM, same problem.

I also reinstalled DayZ and the problem is still there. I don't know why, but the problem was there, when I got into this area... Can i respawn/delete my character without getting ingame, to get to the starting area? Or does anyone know why the game keeps crashing? Arma 2 + OA work fine for months, DayZ worked fine till I came to this point... I really don't know what to do.

What version are you running on? Also, what version is this specific server your using?

DayZ Version 1.7.1.5, and new Beta Patch (9444, I think) for Arma 2. Server is at the same version.

But it doesn't matter which server, the problem is there on any server.

What a bizarre bug!

If you head to the main menu settings, go to player options and click 'new'. You should be able to create a new player here.

Creating a new player won't help as all profiles are tied to one character. I'm here because I've just had the same problem. I was playing all of yesterday with no probs after installing the update. Today, I logged into a sever with a new character and the game crashed after about one min. I'm gonna do some testing and digging and I'll let you know what I find.

yaa i got this game a few days ago.. got it all updated with six lauhcner and everything and when i play it , it randomly just locks up everything the only thing not frozen is the enviornment sounds such as birds and wind... i cant even cntrl alt delete.... then 30 or 40 secs later the game snaps back to movement and sound and if i hit control alt delete then it pops up... and all of my movements when it was frozen go into effect, and the zombies seem to freeze with me becase they are in the same position untill the freeze is done... and its not server specific... ive not found anything on this....
