gobacktogo 29 Posted July 9, 2012 hey,as i know that backpacks/inventories are really bug atm (i lost a shitton of weapons this way) i wanted to ask what exactly will cause the bug.esp i want to know the following: i have a primary and secondary weapon equippt, both have some magazines in the related inventory slots. now i want to equip a 3rd weapon that is in my backpack. the ammunition for the 3rd weapon is in my backpack too. what exactly do i have to do? can i just switch them out? or will it bug and will one weapon disappear? do i have to swap the ammunition separately? thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
DayZPvP.com 143 Posted July 9, 2012 What you need to do is move the gun FROM YOUR BAG ---> TO YOUR HAND.Moving the gun from your hand to your bag eats it. You also have to account for ammo. If you have 10 slots, but a gun and 3 mags then something is going to go bad. If you had 13 slots you would be good to go.Remember, take the gun out of your bag and it will swap cleanly. Pureevuls 4 Posted July 9, 2012 I would recommend dropping the current weapon to the floor, taking the new weapon out and then placing the weapon on the floor in your backpack. I lost an M4A1 yesterday swapping my AKM to the M4 straight from the backpack, it appeared in my hands, then vanished.I risk it all the time with my M14 AIM, but i know one of these days its just going to vanish too. If its not worth the risk, or its a rare weapon etc, just drop it to the ground, may take longer, but how pissed would you be if your L85 AWS or something vanished :P Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Simply make sure that you have enough space in your bag (10 slots + slots for ammo), and move your gun into your bag. Moving it onto the floor is 50/50 chance to lose it. gobacktogo 29 Posted July 9, 2012 ok, not 100% sure i understand this correctly.1. lets say my backpack has 12 unused slots. i want to put the weapon from my hands into the backpack. i also have 4 mags for said weapon in my inventory. if i put the weapon in the backpack, will the mags go into the backpack too and bug out, because there is not enough space?2. lets say i have 'rifle' in my hand (+4 mags in inventory) and 'sniperrifle' (+2 mags) in my backpack.. if i now put the 'sniperrifle' from the backpack into my hands, will it automatically try to swap the mags too and therefore create a problem because theres not enough space?thanks Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
