So very noobish question, but how do I open doors or lower weapons. If I can do that at all I guess.

you should go through the tutorials before playing

Double tap CTRL to lower weapon, *some* doors can be opened via the mousewheel scroll context menu.

Other buildings, sadly, simply can not be entered.

You can only lower your rifle by double tabbing the CTRL-key, the pistol will not work.

I have seen some, only equiped with a pistol, use salute (have a look at the controls to figure out what it is bound to on your keyboard) to signal that they're friendly.

I'm sorry for this noob question but how do I use a bandage? I've gone through the Gear tutorials and tried several things in the game but I just can't figure it out. Thanks.

When you have a bandage in your inventory, you can use the scroll wheel when looking at nearly anything and see the option: Bandage Yourself.

Look at object, scroll your mouse. It's the main action menu of the game.

You use this to enter vehicles, open doors, search a body (Select the Gear action), and etc.

Most things come from the scroll wheel.

- Bandaging yourself

- Giving others a transfusion

- Drinking and Eating

- Taking pain killers

- Closing and Opening doors

- Opening a backpack/dead body/pile of shit

- Hiding bodies

- Switching to your other weapon
