NZ1337 PRIVATE SERVER

Not sure if I am supposed to report this stuff here, but NZ1337 Server is Locked and a Private server. No one can join and it states it in the description that it is a Private server, which I believe is against the whole DayZ system.

yeah pretty much this game has become shit with the amount of hackers, cheaters and just plain assholes, so I'm pretty much gonna leave it to the dickheads and hope rocket realises if he doesn't change his attitude towards hackers and cheaters, all he is gonna be left with is the game ruining jerks destroying his game and it's popularity, while the people who give a shit will move onto something else away from the assholes.

Which personally is a massive shame, I like rocket, I like his vision and I like what he is trying to do, but I think he is focusing on the wrong stuff at the moment. Security and Protecting the player should be on the Major Priority list, Bear traps and other shit that people will enjoy should come only after the system is stable and ready for those changes. otherwise no one will get to see his awesome ideas, because ALT F4ing and Hacking will have made them all leave.

I know the numbers keep growing, but it will get to a point and then drop, and the drop wont be slow it will be massive as people get frustrated to the point of mass anger and just either join the hackers and cheats or say fuck it and leave.

Maybe that's what Rocket wants, I don't know. I hope not I really wish the guy well, but I feel he's taken the wrong path on this.

Then again he wont read this so I'm just talking to myself and maybe a few people bored and reading this old post.

Notch focused on bringing in game features rather than sorting out the horrible server performance, a year or so down the line and the optimization is still atrocious, was and continues to be a royal pain for server admins.

Pretty much listening solely to fanboys and riding on his success train, though he was extremely lucky that Minecraft blew up as much as it has.

Just take a chill pill man. Rocket can't redesign the engine. Hopefully Bohemia pulls their heads out of their asses and realizes the potential this game has beyond mod status and actually help him develop it as a standalone game. Then you can expect your "serious" concerns to be addressed... As far as people being assholes, you must not get out much. Welcome to reality. Most people aren't, but there are plenty IRL. Don't get attached to your gear cus you will lose it. Whether to zombies or bandits or to someone exploiting. Shit happens. Me and my friends might be frustrated for a second but then we just laugh. And if we catch people scripting or server hopping on our server, you can bet they are going to enjoy getting banned. Group up, make friends, and once again... do NOT get too attached to your gear.

Callo, I work in retail, been doing it for 20 years, I KNOW the world is full of assholes, Doesn't mean I have to accept them. Gaming is a hobby and for some a relaxation MEE time. so I don't have to put up with fuckheads ruining that by Cheating.

PERHAPS Reading the post you'll have taken NOTE I don't give a fuck about losing gear, I give a fuck about having to spend hours doing shit over and over not because I was beaten fairly or because of a game bug, but because of hacking assholes or ALT F4 ers.

Also as for them getting banned. THATS WHAT MY RANT IS ABOUT!!!! maybe YOU need to get the fuck out more and actually take note of what ROCKET actually says on some of his interviews, he has gone on record as saying he wants to focus on experimenting and not on the fuckheads ruining his game (HACKING and ALT F4). Yes he is trying to stop it, but he's not focusing on it and I feel IN MY OPINION (NEVER SAID MY OPINION WAS OR IS RIGHT) that it's a bad move on his part.

Oh and group up, today 4 of us were killed by a hacker who was invunerable, so what is GROUPING up gonna Do against a hacking ALT F4ing asshole.

and ONCE again losing gear is not the point, it's the time spent trying to play the game to constantly be thrown back to the beach because some asshole isn't going to play to the rule set the rest of us have to (in case you are thick CHEATING AND HACKING).
