Tip for avoiding hackers.

Recommended Posts

Please learn from my mistakes.

If you join a server and there are several russian players inside, DO NOT SPAWN. Immediately exit the server and find another.

Just lost my character a few seconds after spawning. A player running at nearly 100mph ran up and destroyed me with an automatic grenade launcher.

Back to square 1.

Better tip: Avoid servers with sidechat. Most hacks I've seen are in sidechat servers and I imagine it's because they want to hear you rage.

The Russians strike again! Ban them, all. Seriously... can we ban them.

Yeah I do the same, I have been killed by 3 hackers. 1 was silent. The other two were just talking and laughing in Russian.

I try to avoid servers with over 30-40 people on and stay away from clan servers.

I figure no one wants to nuke 18 people when they could get 50+.

While you are at it ban all of those annoying Russian signs in the game...

Anyone can cheat, it has nothing to do with what country they are from. I am sure that there are idiots who go on Russian servers to cheat to specifically annoy the Russian players and vice versa.

Preaching to the quire here. I've been called a racist for this in this forum, but honestly I don't care - discrimination and prejudice yes, fully acceptable. My experience throughout so many Online games over several years (beginning at UO and QW) has taught me several things. One of them is that hacking and exploiting is a very common thing within the Russian online gaming community. Maybe not everyone involved but black sheep are abundant.
